  • U16 Boys (Born 2005): Our u16 white team were one of the lucky teams this weekend to be in a position to play thanks to our all-weather pitch availability. The white team hosted a big tall & physical Thomas Davis side on a blustery day, other than that perfect playing conditions.

We had a strong start winning the early encounters and with a bit of a wind favouring us..we played some nice controlled football…Our tenacity and smart moving upfront helped us to move into a 0-4 pt lead within the first couple of mins…The lads kept to their credit kept T.Davis contained within their half and we dominated their kick-outs with some fine marks which gave the forwards the platform to break early and get some fine scores, special credit to Joe & Tadgh M for their movement and vision early on in the game creating space, selecting the right pass and taking their own well worked scores.

The second half talk was about winning the first 10mins which we did with some great teamwork, the game was played at a very fast pace in the second half and thus there was a lot of space for our forwards to take advantage off again were Tadgh & Joe stepped up in the first half Cathal D and Eddie did so in the second half taking some great scores and relieving s bit of pressure in the second half when we were under pressure and our defense was really tested…T.Davis could have come away with more scores today, but our defense was on top today with blocks, tackles & super saves by Jake in goal. We won out comfortably on the scoreboard 4-13 to 1-1. Overall a very positive result & performance, the team has really stepped up a level from the opening league game against Olafs ( albeit in horrendous conditions ). Well done lads
