Team of the week this week were the U-11 footballers sponsored by Moriarty’s SuperValu who had a great win over St Vincent’s on Saturday morning with Chloe Johnson excelling for O’Dwyers. Elsewhere on the field the U-14 hurlers were victorious in their first league game of the season. Unfortunately results were not so kind for the U-9 footballers who were on the wrong end of a tight match with Whitehall and the Minor Footballers who also fell at the hands of Whitehall, while the U-12 lost out to Na Fianna in a hugely entertaining game.
Congratulations to the U-11 hurlers that won the Gormanstown Indoor hurling competition for a second year in a row.
Hard luck to our Junior Footballs on Sunday afternoon as they narrowly lost out to Binn Eadair on a score line of 0-07 to 0-10 in the cup. The game saw O’Dwyers fielding an experimental line up which included plenty of youth. Furthermore the hurlers lost out in their first outing of the season.
The Intermediate footballers Joy Cup game has been rescheduled for Tuesday 5th March at 21:00 in St Birgids.
A special thank you to all who volunteered their time on Saturday to help paint the clubhouse and don’t forget we will be hard at it again this Saturday so come along and dig in.
