After a slow start in the first half O’Dwyers found themselves down by three points. On the 20 minute mark Seán Garvan delivered a great pass to Liam Prout, only for him to be fouled and O’Dwyers awarded a penalty. The penalty was cooly converted by Prout to bring the game level. Unfortunaley, St Margarets were awarded a penalty 3 minutes later for a technical foul in the square. The penalty was placed into the bottom corner to leave three between the teams at half time.
In the second half, O’Dwyers came out of the blocks very quickly and put untold pressure on St Margarets. O’Dwyers held majority of possesion for this half but where unable to covert this into scores and catch St. Margarets.
